Keep crops available
Replant before using the final units of a crop. Wheat and corn return quickly, while longer crops should match the time you will be away. A small seed reserve prevents an unnecessary newspaper purchase.
Buy machines before decoration
Production buildings unlock the goods needed by orders and later recipes. Keep a coin buffer for the next machine instead of spending every coin as soon as it arrives.
Use the Roadside Shop deliberately
Sell surplus crops and selected finished goods, but keep dairy, sugar and feed ingredients that support several recipes. Empty shelves are less harmful than an empty production chain.
Upgrade storage with a rule
Expand the barn or silo when materials are balanced. Do not let one rare part consume all available space while you wait indefinitely for the matching pieces.
A good first week builds a repeatable farm loop; it does not race toward the highest possible level.
